Wednesday 13 Brings Haunting Horror Punk On the evening of March 30, 2025, Warehouse Live Midtown in Houston transformed into a haven for horror punk enthusiasts as Wednesday 13's "There's No Such Thing As Monsters"
tour made its anticipated stop. The lineup featured a diverse array of
supporting acts, each contributing their unique sound to an
electrifying night of music. Kicking off the evening was I Ya Toyah, the electronic rock artist known for her dark synth-driven vibes. I Ya Toyah, the musical alias of Ania Tarnowska, is a Chicago-based solo artist originally from Łódź, Poland. Her stage name, derived from Polish, translates to "It's just me," reflecting her identity as a "one-woman army" in the music scene. Tarnowska's musical journey began in Poland, where she was influenced by the industrial ambiance of her hometown. After relocating to the United States, she immersed herself in Chicago's diverse music culture, which further shaped her distinctive style. Her sound is a fusion of industrial, darkwave, electronic, and alternative rock elements, characterized by haunting vocals, intricate synth arrangements, and compelling guitar riffs. Her set infused the venue with an eerie ambiance, perfectly setting the stage for the night’s theme. Following was The Dead Rabbitts, fronted by Craig Mabbitt of Escape the Fate. Most recently, on March 14, 2025, The Dead Rabbitts unveiled their fourth studio album, Redefined. This release signifies a new chapter for the band, with Mabbitt leading a lineup that includes Colton Westerman, Erik Jensen, and Blake Bailey. The album has been praised for its dynamic range and the band's ability to evolve while staying true to their metalcore roots. They delivered a high-energy performance, bridging the gap between horror punk and modern metal, much to the delight of the crowd. Stitched Up Heart then took the stage, led by Alecia "Mixi" Demner. The band's music blends elements of gothic metal, alternative metal, and hard rock, characterized by haunting atmospherics, crushing riffs, and pummeling drums. Their hard-hitting tracks like "Finally Free" and "Monster" resonated with the audience, showcasing the band's fierce and empowering energy. The lineup features Merritt Goodwin on guitar, Randy Mathias on Bass and Delaney Jaster on Drums. As the clock inched toward 10 PM, the anticipation reached its peak. Wednesday 13 emerged, commanding the stage with his signature gothic attire and theatrical presence. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album, "Transylvania 90210," the setlist was a nostalgic journey through his early works, including fan favorites like "I Walked with a Zombie" and "Curse of Me." The performance was further enhanced by dynamitic lighting and interactive crowd chants, creating an immersive experience for all in attendance. The "There's No Such Thing As Monsters" tour not only paid homage to Wednesday 13's roots but also introduced new material from his forthcoming Napalm Records release, expected later this year. The seamless blend of classic tracks and fresh compositions highlighted his evolution as an artist while staying true to the horror punk essence that fans have come to adore. In conclusion, the concert at Warehouse Live Midtown was a testament to Wednesday 13's enduring appeal and his ability to curate a lineup that complements his macabre aesthetic. Fans left the venue with the echoes of a night where horror and music melded seamlessly, reaffirming that in the world of Wednesday 13, there's truly no such thing as monsters—only unforgettable performances.
