Brotherhood of Rock Tour Electrifies The Woodlands:
A Night of Classic Rock Legends

Under a warm Texas sky, the “Brotherhood of Rock” tour delivered an unforgettable evening of classic rock, uniting three legendary acts Styx, Kevin Cronin Band and Don Felder for a powerhouse show that celebrated decades of musical camaraderie and timeless hits.

Don Felder: The Eagle Takes Flight

Opening the night, former Eagles guitarist Don Felder brought a masterclass in melodic rock and guitar virtuosity. Backed by his seasoned solo band, Felder delivered a tight, high-energy set that included Eagles staples like “Already Gone,” “Heartache Tonight” and the crowd-favorite “Hotel California.” His signature double-neck guitar solo on the latter drew roaring applause, reminding fans why he remains one of rock’s most revered guitarists.

Kevin Cronin Band: REO Spirit Reborn

Kevin Cronin, the voice behind REO Speedwagon’s biggest hits, took the stage with his new solo outfit, the Kevin Cronin Band. Though REO Speedwagon officially retired from touring in early 2025 due to internal tensions, Cronin’s band features familiar faces: guitarist Dave Amato, drummer Bryan Hitt, keyboardist Derek Hilland, and bassist Matt Bissonette. Together, they reignited the REO flame with a full performance of the 1980 album Hi Infidelity, including “Keep On Loving You” and “Take It On the Run,” followed by fan favorites like “Roll with the Changes.” Cronin’s vocals were as emotive as ever, and his connection with the audience made the set feel like a heartfelt reunion.

Styx: A Grand Illusion, Live and Loud

Closing the night, Styx proved why they remain one of rock’s most enduring live acts. Their current lineup — Tommy Shaw (vocals/guitar), James “JY” Young (vocals/guitar), Lawrence Gowan (vocals/keyboards), Todd Sucherman (drums), Will Evankovich (guitar), Terry Gowan (bass), and founding bassist Chuck Panozzo (who made a special appearance) — delivered a dynamic, theatrical set. From the soaring harmonies of “Come Sail Away” to the hard-driving “Blue Collar Man” and the raucous closer “Renegade,” the band’s energy never waned. Gowan’s charismatic stage presence and Shaw’s ageless vocals were standouts, while Young’s guitar work added grit and power.

A Brotherhood Celebrated

The tour’s title, “Brotherhood of Rock,” wasn’t just branding
it was a theme that resonated throughout the night. The mutual respect and shared history among these artists created a sense of unity that transcended the music. For fans in The Woodlands, it was more than a concert — it was a celebration of rock’s enduring spirit and the bonds that keep its flame alive.
